A PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM TERHADAP KURIR DALAM TRANSAKSI JUAL BELI DENGAN SISTEM CASH ON DELIVERY (COD)
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article discusses legal protection for couriers in buying and selling transactions using the Cash On Delivery (COD) system. The rapid development of e-commerce has increased the use of the COD payment method, which often causes problems for couriers as the party delivering the goods. Couriers face various legal risks, including disputes with buyers who refuse to pay or claim that the goods are not in accordance with the law. This study uses a normative legal method with a statutory approach and case analysis to examine how legal protection for couriers is regulated in the Indonesian legal system. The results of the study indicate that couriers are not responsible for the quality or conformity of the goods sent, and the rights of couriers must be guaranteed through more specific regulations, including the obligations of shipping service companies to protect couriers from disputes with buyers. Therefore, clearer policies are needed to strengthen legal protection for couriers in COD transactions
